Hamilton Bright supports brands in the Benelux in field marketing and sales. The company employs various field teams consisting of enthusiastic employees who are on the road every day. It is therefore no surprise that they need a well-equipped, comfortable and reliable vehicle. The company has a clear vision of sustainability and is therefore fully committed to the electrification of the company fleet. "At Hamilton Bright, we strive for a sustainable world. We want to do our bit for the society we ourselves are part of and that is why we are fully committed to a bright future," says Sanne Bruyninckx, People Operations & Sustainability Manager. "One of the aspects in which we can make a difference is our company fleet. Spread across the Benelux, we have 650 cars. So if we can make that fleet more sustainable, we are already a very big step ahead. That is why we are now fully committed to electrification. For this year, we have already ordered 100 new electric vehicles." In addition, Hamilton Bright is also upgrading its charging infrastructure. For instance, all offices will get new charging stations. In the meantime, the existing charging stations are being evaluated and, if necessary, upgraded.

Reliable and comfortable Volkswagen ID.3

Hamilton Bright knocked on LeasePlan's door to order the electric vehicles. All employees get a Volkswagen ID.3, a conscious choice given the vehicle's reliability and qualities. Stefan Mertens, Trainer for Samsung at Hamilton Bright, is completely convinced. "When I heard I would be switching to an electric vehicle, I was a bit suspicious. I am on the road every day and I do a lot of kilometres, so I was suffering from some range anxiety. But in the meantime, that has given way to real driving pleasure. I am extremely happy with the switch to electric driving."

Stefan received the necessary guidance and information from the company so that he could step into his new EV without any worries. "And in the meantime, I have become a real fan. For me, comfort, safety and reliability are important. The Volkswagen ID.3 offers all of that. Clearly, Hamilton Bright has been looking for well-equipped vehicles for its staff. The ID.3 is quiet, comfortable, beautifully finished and drives very sporty and soft at the same time. I arrive at my destination fully rested every time. And most importantly: the range is no less than 500 kilometres. I don't want to go back to an internal combustion engine by any means!"

Good guidance for employees

To give all employees a taste of the principles of electric driving, Hamilton Bright calls in "early adopters". These are colleagues who are already driving the Volkswagen ID.3 and are completely convinced of the EV. They act as ambassadors towards their colleagues and show them the way to electric driving. Gerald Bosquet is one of those ambassadors. As Field Manager for Unilever in the Belux, he uses his vehicle every day. Sometimes he covers routes of 400 kilometers a day and he also does that in an ID.3. “I have become very convinced of electric driving and now it is my job to make my colleagues enthusiastic about it as well. My team members will soon all receive an EV and I will guide them in this so that the transition goes smoothly,” says Gerald. “For example, I let them take my car for a ride, I show them how to find charging stations in the Shell Recharge app and I show them the way. In the meantime, I notice that my team members are eager to take a seat in their own electric vehicle.”

The main hurdle Gerald faces is typically range anxiety. “But I always show my team that this is not necessary. You just have to make a little mind shift. Are you going somewhere, to the supermarket, to a restaurant, to the cinema or something else? Then immediately check whether there is a charging station nearby and plug in your vehicle. Thanks to the always-be-charging (ABC) principle, you always have enough autonomy to get to your destination.”

LeasePlan as a reliable partner

Hamilton Bright relies on LeasePlan for the delivery of the electric lease vehicles. Our many years of experience and our pursuit of sustainable mobility are the main reasons. Sanne Bruyninckx: “For Hamilton Bright, a good vehicle and a good lease partner are extremely important. Our teams are on the road every day and need reliable support. And LeasePlan has proven to be the right partner in this. The service is fast and reliable. Drivers are helped quickly with practical matters such as tire changes and maintenance. Moreover, LeasePlan is also very committed to the environment and they are strong in guiding towards the electric transition. That is definitely a plus”, says Sanne.
