Maintenance, repairs and MOTs
Do I have to use a Leaseplan partner workshop for maintenance, repairs or MOTs?
LeasePlan maintains specialised partner networks for services related to your car. You can find the nearest partner workshop in our area search for partners.
If there is no partner workshop who can perform services and repairs on the vehicle within a 30 km radius, you can take the vehicle to any manufacturer-authorised repair shop.
How do I book an appointment online?
You can book workshop appointments at any time in our online portal LeasePlan Online or with the LeasePlan Driver App for iPhone or Android smartphones.
Alternatively, our service team is available to you during our business hours on: +49 211 91358221
Do I have to fill in the repair form?
Please complete and hand over the "Maintenance and Repair Order" form (PDF) to the partner repair facililty every time you take your vehicle in. It contains important information on the procedure for the partner.
How do I authorise a repair?
Please take your LeasePlan fuel card or your LeasePlan service card to the repair facility with you. It entitles you to have repair work done and the repair facility will then bill us directly. The repair facility will discuss the next steps with us.
Why didn’t I get a repair card?
You have a euroShell or Aral fuel card, so you don’t need any further identification for our partners.
How long is the guarantee/warranty on my vehicle?
New vehicles generally have a two-year guarantee and manufacturer warranty commencing on the date of registration.
When do I have to get my vehicle serviced?
Vehicles have different service intervals depending on their make and model. You can find this information in your vehicle’s service booklet and most vehicles indicate when a service is necessary.
When and where do I have to get my MOT?
Your leased vehicle must be presented for TÜV inspection three years after initial registration and every two years thereafter. Please keep track of these dates yourself.
You can have the TÜV inspection carried out at any authorised workshop, at the TÜV or DEKRA.
Ask the inspection centre whether settlement is possible via the LeasePlan 'Maintenance and repair order' (PDF). If the inspection centre consents, please complete and hand over the form to the inspection centre. It contains important information on the procedure for the inspection centre. We do not require a copy of the MOT report.
For commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t permissible gross weight, the vehicle must be presented to the TÜV 24 months after initial registration, and the subsequent inspection intervals are also 24 months.
For commercial vehicles over 3.5 t permissible gross weight, the first TÜV inspection is due **12 months **after initial registration, and the subsequent inspection intervals are also 12 months.
When does a "UVV" inspection have to be carried out?
The "UVV" accident prevention regulations inspection is due once a year and can be conducted by our tyre partners or when your vehicle goes in for a service.
