When and how will I receive my LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card?
If you have subscribed to the LeasePlan "charging card" service you will receive your personal login credentials for the CHARGE NOW for Business App automatically by e-mail from LeasePlan, shortly before your new company car is delivered. You can then use the app straight away to recharge your vehicle in the German and European CHARGE NOW for Business network.
Your personal charging card will be posted to you a few days later.
Does my LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card have a PIN?
No. Simply hold the CHARGE NOW for Business charging card in front of the reader on the charging station. As long as the charging card is registered, you can start using it straight away.
How do I activate my LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card?
The CHARGE NOW for Business charging card is activated as soon as you have logged into the CHARGE NOW for Business app. This is how it works:
- 1.You will receive an e-mail from DCS.email@example.com with an invitation to register in the CHARGE NOW for Business app. Follow the instructions in the e-mail.
- 2.When you have registered in the app you can use it to start and end charging processes in the CHARGE NOW for Business public network.
- 3.A few days later you will receive your charging card. The card is activated as soon as you register in the CHARGE NOW for Business app.
- 4.Then you can start and end the charging process with either the charging card or the app. If you have a home charging point you can only start charging processes with charging card.
- 5.The CHARGE NOW for Business app lets you search for public charging stations and provides pricing information and hotline numbers for the charging station operators. You can use filters (vehicle, distance, charging capacity, etc.) to refine your search. If your search doesn’t return any results, please adjust the filters.
What happens if I lose my LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card, if it is stolen or if it doesn’t work?
Please inform us without delay by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or 24/7 by phone at +49 211 91358221.
We’ll block the card and send you a replacement.
Where can I use the LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card?
You can use the LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card to recharge your electric vehicle in the CHARGE NOW for Business infrastructure in Germany and Europe. CHARGE NOW for Business provides access to 100% of all publicly available charging points in Germany and 98% of publicly available charging points in Europe.
How do I access public charging stations?
Different access media are used for charging stations. With the LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card and the CHARGE NOW for Business app, you can charge without cash at 100% of the available charging points in Germany and 98% of the available charging points in Europe. Access media available at the station are displayed in the CHARGE NOW for Business app. In the app you can start and end charging processes easily via your smartphone.
Do I need a charging card and app to use charging points? What do I use the app for?
Charging processes can be initiated with the charging card or the CHARGE NOW for Business app. There are now some charging points that can only be started with the app. The app not only has a charging function, it also provides information about charging point locations and prices. Since the charging price models differ considerably, we recommend that you check the prices in the app before charging to prevent high costs being incurred.
How will I know how much a charging session costs?
You can only see the price per charging process, minute or kWh in the CHARGE NOW for Business app.
What do I do if I experience technical problems when charging my vehicle?
If you experience a technical problem, please call the charging station operator’s hotline. In the CHARGE NOW for Business app, select the public charging station where you want to charge your vehicle. You can call the charging station operator from the app if there’s a technical problem. LeasePlan assumes no responsibility for the operation of a charging station. The operator has sole responsibility for this.
If the charging station operator determines that the charging station is free of technical defects, please call the LeasePlan driver service hotline: +49 211 91358221. You can also find this phone number in the app under ‘Account/Customer Service’. You’ll be able to resolve problems with your charging card via the hotline. If possible, try the charging card at another charging station to see whether it works there.
Can I use my LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card to recharge my rental car?
Yes. The costs are billed to your company car account. Please contact your fleet manager in advance for information about your employer’s specific rules.
Can I charge my car abroad?
The LeasePlan CHARGE NOW for Business charging card allows you to charge your vehicle abroad. As long as a charging station is listed in the app, you can charge your vehicle there as usual. However, your employer may have certain rules for charging abroad that we’re not aware of, so you should check with your fleet manager before you travel to a another country. Prices abroad can vary greatly as there are no common pricing guidelines for charging electricity tariffs. So please make sure you check the price before every charge.
What information does the CHARGE NOW for Business app provide?
In the CHARGE NOW for Business app you can find the following information:
- address of the charging station (incl. location on the map)
- distance between you and the charging station in km
- opening times (if the charging station isn’t publicly accessible)
- connection types and charging capacities
- price list
- information about the charging station operator
- navigation function with the option to incorporate charging breaks in the route
