Electromobility
Make the switch to a sustainable fleet
Electromobility is central to discussions on environmental protection and the achievement of climate target objectives. We help companies to switch over to electromobility.
Reduce your carbon footprint We believe that we all have to find a way to improve our sustainability so that we can protect our planet. That’s why LeasePlan has committed to a zero emission fleet by 2030. We are encouraging our customers to reduce their carbon footprint to the minimum.
On the path to achieving that objective, we’re here to provide you with comprehensive support. With our expertise and tools you have all the help you need to switch your fleet over to EV. You will experience benefits such as lower fuel consumption and maintenance costs, as well as happier drivers. A government purchase grant and tax relief make the adoption of electromobility also financially attractive for your organisation and your drivers. An EV fleet also means that you avoid operating restrictions due to inner city no-drive/environmental zones.
By taking a short survey in our online ‘Ready for Electromobility?’ check your drivers can find out which drive type is best for their personal needs based on their driving habits.
You can define the level of support you’d like to receive from LeasePlan, depending on your requirements. Our ‘Start Electric’ package will help you to overcome any initial ‘EV inhibitions’. We take a look at your overall fleet requirements and propose the best solution for your organisation.
Consulting
We offer in-depth consultations including a mobility analysis and an electromobility roll-out project plan. When a comprehensive solution has been developed, our e-mobility experts support you in the implementation phase.
Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles
You can choose any electric or plug-in hybrid cars and vans that are available on the market. When you include these vehicles in your car policy all total cost of ownership, including electricity and fuel consumption costs, are taken into account. Here at LeasePlan, we know that choosing the right electric vehicle for a specific job or driver can be a real challenge. There are so many things to consider, such as reach and charging options, that it’s easy to get confused. But don’t worry! Our mobility experts can advise you on the electric vehicles that suit your purpose and drivers, and the best charging options for you. We provide you with EVs to match both your and your drivers’ requirements.
Charging cards, chips, and apps
We provide charging cards and chips as well as charging apps. This gives access to 100 % of the German and approx. 98 % of the European public roaming charging network as well as to home and workplace chargers, if these are included in the deal. Drivers always have a transparent overview of all charging processes via our online EV portal and charging apps.
Home and workplace chargers
You can also request home and workplace chargers under the lease. The pre-installation work is either performed by you or by LeasePlan. Transparent billing of every charging operation is possible for compliance with German calibration regulations. All home and workplace chargers are suitable for single and three-phase charging sockets. Both wall and pillar mountings are possible. The charging capacity ranges from 3.7 to 22 kW. The workplace chargers are equipped with two charging sockets. They make load management between the charging points and between wall boxes possible.

Seven good reasons to switch over to EVs
- ÂSustainable choice
The research community agrees that electromobility is always better for the environment than combustion engines, even when you factor the production of the batteries into the equation.
- ÂBusiness continuity
Electric vehicles give you access to all inner-city green zones. They exist today in more than 200 cities, including London, Amsterdam, Stuttgart and Stockholm.
- ÂEver-increasing reach
The latest generation of EVs can realistically travel 200 to 600 km between charging sessions.
- ÂAvailability
All leading car manufacturers today have fully electric vehicles in their ranges. And there are many more to come.
- ÂCosts
Low maintenance, low consumption and low taxes make many EVs much less expensive throughout their entire lifecycle than diesel vehicles today.
- ÂHappy drivers
Electric vehicle drivers are happier. EVs are both fun and exciting, and the one-pedal concept also makes them incredibly easy to drive.
- ÂTax concessions
Government tax concession initiatives make EVs an even more attractive option.
