End of lease contract

Your vehicle has reached its end date? Find out here how the return of your vehicle is handled. You will also find useful information about the vehicle check and the guidelines on acceptable and non-acceptable damage.

Returning the vehicle

In general, there is one simple rule to follow when you return your lease vehicle, namely: return it with everything that was in the vehicle when it was delivered:

  • All keys (including spare key)
  • Official documents (registration, conformity certificate, green card)
  • The car’s service book and instruction manual
  • All leased accessories
  • Any software for the navigation system.

Online car check document

The Car Check Document is drawn up at the moment you return the leased vehicle at the end of the contract. You can do this at a dealer, at your own office or at LeasePlan Car Remarketing in Boortmeerbeek.

In the near future, you will also be able to fill in this document via an online application which allows you to register clearly the visible damage and the condition of the vehicle, the mileage, whether or not all documents are present, the number of returned keys and the accessories covered by the lease contract.

The Car Check Document can be completed online on a tablet or PC, whereby the driver or his representative can also sign for agreement.

Guidelines for end-of-contract damage

Read through these amended guidelines and you will get a clear picture of the minimum norms which a returned lease car must satisfy in order to avoid an unforeseen invoice for end-of-contract damage.
