In 1985, Nissan’s top secret ‘Horizon Task Force’ formed to conceive a new luxury performance brand to rival the prevailing American and European marquees on the market. Rather than manufacturing mere machines, the elite group within the Japanese automaker wanted to create cars inspired by nature, with more human-centric designs. They launched in 1987, with a name and badge that symbolised a desire to always look forward—to new horizons—Infiniti. Since then, an unwavering commitment to the highest levels of performance, luxury and customer-centric care have sustained the Infiniti dream. The brand plans to deliver an electric model and a mix of electrified and hybrid e-Power vehicles by 2025.
