Other distinguishing characteristics include a more aerodynamic front grille and special 17-inch ‘aero-ventilating' alloy wheels. Slip behind the wheel and you'll find eight-way electric seat adjustment and variable lumbar support. Premium Plus Pack trim level brings luxuries such as leather upholstery, heated steering wheel and front seats, rear privacy glass, keyless entry and a smartphone wireless charger.

Playing it posh, and safe

Zip away from traffic lights with plenty of torque, without emitting a single bit of C02. The UX’s all-electric powertrain is perfectly punchy for a small EV, and good for a 7.5sec 0-100 km/h sprint. A single 201bhp e-motor powers the front wheels and a fast charge takes under an hour via a CHAdeMO plug. Of several drive modes to choose from, Sport provides the most pep when you punch the accelerator pedal. On the motorway, the car slips into a pleasant, relaxed gait, providing a smooth, comfortable ride, thanks to its soft suspension. Every model comes with Lexus’s Safety System Plus package, so you can relax and let the adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, automatic high beam and road sign detection safely guide you to your destination.
