How can we help you?
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a home charger cost?
Our standard EV package includes the home charger unit, POLAR network subscription, installation, service & warranty and a government grant of up to £500. It can be financed through your vehicle lease at a cost of around £20 per month over 36 months or paid upfront.
Please note, this price is based on a standard installation with a maximum of 15 metres of cable and a wall or garage mounted installation. If you need anything different that will affect the price, BP Chargemaster will advise you of the costs and you will then pay the difference directly to BPChargemaster.
Are there financial benefits with driving an electric vehicle?
Yes. Electric cars have tax benefits and the electricity you use is a lot less expensive than fossil fuels. For example:
- The UK Government provides a grant to buy or lease an electric vehicle. Currently up to £3,500 for cars with a C02 level below 50g/km and travel at least 70 miles using zero-emissions.
- For commercial vehicles up to 20% off the purchase price, up to a maximum of £8,000 with a CO2 up to 75g/km and travel at least 10 miles using zero-emissions
What does it cost to charge an electric vehicle?
On average it costs £2 - £4 to charge an EV. This depends on where you charge your vehicle. In a public area, the cost is determined by the Charge Point Operator. The LeasePlan EV package comes with a POLAR network subscription and 80% of their sites are free to charge. Other providers may have a joining fee or connection fee, plus the price per kWh. You can see all the charging points at www.zap-map.com
