If your vehicle has been deemed a total loss, LeasePlan need your insurers to notify us via email confirming the incident date, category of loss and mileage reading for the vehicle. The email needs to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will continue to pay your lease until settlement has been received and the contract terminated.
LeasePlan will provide a settlement figure to your insurers based on the age, mileage and current market value of the vehicle. If you insurer does not settle the amount in full then the shortfall will be passed over to you to cover.
LeasePlan are happy for your insurer to replace the vehicle for a like for like replacement of an equal or greater specification. LeasePlan will confirm the process for this once formally notified by the insurer of their intention to do so.
As LeasePlan do not hold any relationship with insurers and are a third party, we are unable to contact your insurer on your behalf so if you do have any queries surrounding the settlement figure then you would need to contact your insurance company directly.
