Questions about leasing

What do I do, when the leasing contract expires, and I have to return the car? LeasePlan offers country wide return together with Applus. Please contant LeasePlan in writing for an activation link. You will receive an email in which you are able to book a car inspection, in one of the chosen inspection centers.  When returning your car, it will be checked for damages and shortcomings, and you will leave the inspection center with a return slip and picture documentation. All our private lease contracts are for 36 months. Can I extend the leasing period? Yes, it's possible to extend the leasing agreement. You'll receive an e-mail prior to end of contract in which you'll be offered an extension.

Is it possible to mount a towing hook? All cars are delivered without a towing hook, but on most newer cars you have the possibility to lease a towing hook. The amount will be added to your monthly expense.  Are winter tyres included in the leasing period? You have the opportunity to lease winter tyres when signing your contract. The amount will be added to your monthly expense. Can I get extra equipment in the car? Yes, there are many of our cars to which you can choose extra equipment. However, remember to read what it says in the specifications. How do I sell the car that I have now? Damage, service and repair

What should I do if my car needs service and maintenance? When your car needs service and maintenance, you need to use one of the garages that LeasePlan recommends.  All expenses regarding service and maintenance, that is caused by normal wear and tear, is covered by your leasing contract. You are not allowed to do service on your car on your own.  Find our garages here What is my responsibility regarding the car? - It is your responsibility that the car gets serviced on time. Always make sure that you check the service intervals in the car manual - You should regularly check oil and coolant. Your service deal with LeasePlan does not cover engine damages due to lack of oil and coolant. - If your car has been damaged, let your insurance company know as soon as possible - Remember to check the tyre pressure frequently - If you have a newer diesel car, make sure there is enough AdBlue. It can be crucial if there is not enough AdBlue What should I do in case there is damage on the car? You must report the damage to your insurance companyWhat should I do in case of burglary? 1. Always report the burglary to the police 2. Always report the burglary to your insurance company if personal items have been stolen 

Questions about driving abroad

What do I need to remember when driving abroad? - Make sure that you have statutory safety equipment in the car. As an example: a vest, first-aid kit and powder extinguisher - Check if it is mandatory to have winter tyres if it snows - Save the phone number to SOS +45 7010 5052 - Remember your driving license and part 1 of the registration certificate Red & Green Card when driving abroad? **In most countries, you do not have to bring the green card.** The green card is poof that your car is insured. Today it is enough to have a license plate on the car within the EU, including countries as Norway, Croatia, Switzerland, Iceland and Andorra. **Exemptions** You have to bring the green card in these countries: Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, North Macedonia, Belarus, Iran, Israel, Morocco, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine **Red Card** The red card is the phone number to SOS [+45 7010 5052](targetSelf:tel://004570105052 "+45 7010 5052") and helps if you are insured. We recommend that you download the SOS app to your smartphone. The app contains a GPS function that helps to locate you in case of an emergency.

Credit check

The Danish FSA has come with new standards for credit checks. The way customers get credit checked has been changed. The changes have been made in order to secure that the customer does not obtain loan that puts them in a poor financial position.

The changed standards for credit checks are mandatory for all financial institutions.

If you want to lease a private car from LeasePlan, it is mandatory that LeasePlan runs a credit check. LeasePlan will in that regards ask for, amongst others, your financial statement and income. It will be used to check your allowance, and will help secure that you are not put in a poor financial position.
