Medior Enterprise Risk Manager – 2LoD Capital and Business Risk Management

We are looking for:

The position of Medior Enterprise Risk Manager – 2LoD Capital and Business Risk Management will report to the Team Lead, 2LoD Capital and Business Risk Management within the Enterprise Risk Management function and work closely with other Enterprise Risk Managers for the deliverables across the Group.

The role involves overseeing the Group’s risk profile and its effect on capital. As a Second Line of Defense (2LoD) expert in Capital and Business risk, you’ll focus on regulatory issues, solvency, and Basel standards, while independently assessing the Group’s current and future capital status. You’ll join Group committees, learn the Financial Department’s practices, and critically evaluate the first line of defense’s output. Additionally, you’ll track major regulatory changes and contribute to related Group projects (CRR, SREP, ICAAP/ILAAP, etc.).

An overview of task and responsibilities in the role:

• Critical Reviews and Challenges: Ability to lead and critically review ICAAP deliverables, focusing on components like governance, capital adequacy, capital planning, and stress testing scenarios;
• Interactions and Alignment: Work on interactions between ICAAP/ILAAP and other strategic processes, ensuring alignment with SREP requirements;
• Stress Testing Framework: Participate in developing the stress testing framework, emphasizing capital and liquidity. Collaborate with 1LoD to maintain consistency with ICAAP & ILAAP frameworks;
• Assumption Challenges: Challenge assumptions and decisions related to stress test scenarios, including budget, capital, and liquidity, to ensure robust capital and liquidity management.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with prudential regulations (CRRIII, CRDIV, Basel, Solvency, etc.) and the ability to translate these requirements into strategic processes and projects.

To succeed in this role, you have the following skills and experience:

The colleague we are looking for has relevant work experience in Risk and Capital Management, particularly in areas like Capital planning, SREP, ICAAP, and Stress Testing.

• Experience and Autonomy: Approx. 5 years of relevant experience in risk and capital management, with the ability to independently drive key deliverables and review Risk Appetite indicators;
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial sector regulations and supervisory guidelines, including internal governance, SREP, ESG, and stress testing;
• Capital Management: Experience in capital management projects and analysis of new regulatory frameworks is advantageous;
• Risk Frameworks: Understanding of risk management frameworks, covering both financial and non-financial risks;
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for conveying complex risk assessments to stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
