Once the inspection is over, you'll get a digital report with the photos the inspector has taken as well as details of any damage. If you have any questions, or want to challenge this, you can do this within 3 days after you have the report.
We have a Fair Wear and Tear Guide for cars and vans. There are a number of things you can do to ensure that your vehicle is returned to us is in the best possible condition such as replaying the alloys if there is any damage, ensuring all signage/additional equipment are removed and removing a private number plate before collection and replacing it with the original plate.
If there's any damage on the vehicle, it's best to get it fixed to a professional standard. Mechanically, the car should be in good condition - capable of passing an MOT.
All tyres, including the spare, must meet UK legal requirements.
Ensure that everything that came with the car is also returned including spare keys. If anything's missing, this will result in charges, so do check this ahead of time and replace missing items if necessary.
This includes documents that came with the car such as the V5C, MOT documents, car manual, service book, and anything else related to the car and its equipment.

We understand that wear and tear is part of everyday life, but sometimes our lease vehicles are returned to us with excess damage including scuffs and scratches. So when it comes to handing your vehicle back over to us at the end of your lease, we need to inspect it to make sure you’re returning it to us in good condition. Please look over your vehicle with a critical eye before we collect, giving yourself time have get a repairs done where needed.
One of our experienced inspectors will come to your home or place of work to check over the vehicle’s interior, exterior and make sure it drives okay, leaving you with peace of mind that your vehicle is being returned in the best condition possible. After the inspection is complete, we'll take your vehicle away with us too.
Our Inspect & Collect service prides itself on being open and honest. You'll be present as one of our inspectors checks your vehicle, giving you the opportunity to see our thorough and professional examination. You'll be able to see the interim report before we submit it too and, if there are any issues, you can discuss it with us there and then.

<u>Cars</u>
When your replacement vehicle was booked, you should have received details within it of where to return the vehicle. Alternatively, there may be an option for the supplier to collect the vehicle from a location of your choice.
When returning your vehicle, you can ask your broker to book a collection for you. If you're returning your vehicle more than 30 days early, there will be an early termination charge. If anything needs changing, you can let your broker know.
On the day you return your vehicle to us, there will be two things you must do to prevent future drivers of the same vehicle getting access to your digital personal information.
Step 1: Return your car to its factory settings. You can find out how to do this in the on-screen instruction manual via the touch screen within the settings.
Step 2: Remove your payment details.
We've prepared a comprehensive guide to keeping your in-vehicle data safe. We’d also encourage you to read through the British Vehicle and Rental Leasing Association’s (BVRLA) guide to returning your vehicle for cars.
All of the items that were provided with your vehicle on delivery should be returned. This includes things like spare keys, satellite navigation discs, a logbook (if you have it) and fixtures and fittings like headrests, and parcel shelves. Any items missing when the vehicle is collected will be charged for.
Your broker will send you an email with all the details on what you can check in advance.
