Introducing... the Volvo XC60 T8
Safety never felt so luxurious
The Volvo XC60 T8 brings plenty of Scandi style, a sense of luxury and some seriously advanced safety tech. The XC60 is available in a wide range of variants, from diesel to hybrid.
Designed with the driver in mind The XC60 is externally similar to its seven-seater ‘big brother’ the XC90, and in terms of interior design and quality, the XC60 leads the compact crossover class. Every variant has leather seats, and the sleek nine-inch touchscreen dominates the dash. Technology is integrated in almost every facet of the XC60’s design, and the XC60 ensures passengers and luggage have space aplenty.
Comfort over adrenaline Because this model has focused on comfort over adrenaline, it is less of a sporty drive than for instance the Jaguar F-Pace and BMW X3. However, the steering is light and well-geared for the size and weight of the car, which ensures the XC60 is agile and balanced for every-day driving.
The energy-efficient T8 plug-in hybrid only emits 56 grams of CO2 per km, which not only equals savings at the pump but also significant tax savings for lease drivers.
The Swedes do it best Volvo’s traditional focus on safety means the XC60 is standard fitted with lots of potentially life-saving features. These include autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, dual-stage airbags and traffic sign recognition as well as an oncoming lane mitigation system, which steers away from oncoming traffic to avoid a head-on collision.
Euro NCAP awarded the XC60 a full five-star rating making this one of the very safest cars on the road.
