EV Readiness surges throughout Europe

Latest findings from LeasePlan’s 2023 EV Readiness Index

Europe is more ready than ever for the transition to electric mobility, with significant improvements in EV readiness across the continent.

This is the main conclusion of LeasePlan’s 2023 EV Readiness Index – a comprehensive analysis of the preparedness of 22 European countries for the electric vehicle revolution. The Index is based on three factors: the maturity of the EV market, maturity of EV infrastructure, and total cost of EV ownership in each country.

It is great to see a significant improvement this year in COUNTRY – we are more ready than ever before for the shift to EV. It is now essential that we keep this momentum going: this year’s index shows drivers in COUNTRY are ready and willing to make the switch to electric, and we must keep pressure on both European and local governments to ensure a robust public charging infrastructure is available to all drivers, in order to keep pace with demand. We want every single driver in COUNTRY to be able to go electric, and while this year’s results are promising, we still have work to do.
