LeasePlan and Allego are driving the transition to electromobility in Switzerland
Zurich, 4 July 2019 - LeasePlan, a leading global car-as-a-service company, and Allego, a leading provider of charging solutions for electric vehicles, are teaming up to offer their joint services in Switzerland, as an extension of their existing partnership in Europe. Fleet customers of LeasePlan Switzerland can now obtain domestic and business charging solutions via LeasePlan. The service package includes installing the charging points on site, handling their administration and maintenance, and invoicing for the charging processes. LeasePlan fleet customers can also use the Allego EV Cloud Services platform to access statements, overviews and analysis services online.
Allego has been a development partner of LeasePlan's for electromobility since the summer of 2018 in Benelux, Germany and France, and plans are already underway to extend the partnership to Scandinavia. Allego's charging technology can be used for all electric vehicles, features intelligent load balancing, and offers convenient and transparent monthly invoicing for electricity costs. Costs incurred for charging at home can also be reimbursed as part of the service. This move means LeasePlan can make it easy for its Swiss corporate customers to transition to electromobility. As part of the new service package, LeasePlan drivers will receive a charging chip that lets them access more than 3,500 charging points in Switzerland and a total of 110,000 across Europe. This even means they can comfortably and stresslessly cover long distances in their electric cars.
The increase in electric vehicles is an important building block in the fight against climate change and is easier to implement than many believe. Our partnership with Allego means that, alongside electric cars, we can now offer our customers a comprehensive and complete package to make the transition to electromobility easier.
We are excited to be expanding our partnership with LeasePlan to cover Switzerland.
