ALD Automotive has successfully completed the acquisition of 100% of LeasePlan, one of the world’s leading fleet management and mobility companies, from a consortium led by TDR Capital.

This transformative acquisition represents a step-change which positions the combined group as the leading global sustainable mobility player with total fleet of 3.3 million vehicles managed worldwide. By joining forces, ALD Automotive and LeasePlan will lead the way to net zero and further shape the digital transformation of the industry. The combined entity will leverage on scale and complementary capabilities to strengthen its competitiveness and deliver sustained growth.

Following the completion of this acquisition, ALD Automotive and LeasePlan in Hungary will begin the process of integrating into one company, subject to regulatory approval.

To lead strategic development in Hungary, Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive | LeasePlan, has appointed Timea Pesti, previously Managing Director of LeasePlan in Hungary, as Country Managing Director of the combined entity. Olena Tymofiyiva, previously General Manager of ALD Automotive in Hungary, has been appointed Deputy Country Managing Director in Norway. These conditional appointments are effective immediately.

Timea Pesti is one of the key talents selected from both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan who is best positioned to implement the combined entity’s challenging integration plan moving forward and successfully deliver the strategic development growth targeted in the coming months and years.

Biography

Tímea Pesti has been the Managing Director of LeasePlan Hungária Ltd. since 2017, previously she was responsible for company’s growth as Commercial Director for six years. The company delivered outstanding results on global level during her activity in both positions. Tímea is the member of the LeasePlan Corporation N.V.’s DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Committee and stands for the countries. Besides leading the fleet management company, she actively works for sustainability, social welfare and does her best for nurturing developments in the automotive industry through several foundations and associations. She has appointed as 1st Vice President of AmCham Hungary (American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary), works as a Board Member of Hungarian Leasing Association and Dutcham (Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce) and she has the honour of being the Ambassador of Magic Lamp Foundation.

Before her activity in automotive industry, she led the Swedish market leader company, quoted on the stock, HL Display as Managing Director and she was also responsible for the CEE region as Area Manager. Previously she filled in Commercial Director position at Novartis Hungary, one of the leading global healthcare company. She obtained her Economic Degree at Budapest Business School and MBA Degree at The Open University in the UK. Tímea is mother of three children, she spends actively her spare time as she is doing lot of sports and focusing on spend as much time with her family as she can.
