Job Position: Business Excellence Manager

Objective of the role

Business excellence supports the country to realize it’s company goals. It translates global business priorities into local KPIs and action plans in the country. It embeds relevant management methodologies and tools, provides training, and establishes a culture of continuous improvement in the entities. It supports entities in optimizing processes in order to improve service levels and achieve sustainable efficiencies that enable the company to scale the business effectively. It leads local projects to analyze and improve performance.

Areas of responsibilities

  • Supporting a key area of the global Business Excellence Transformation team, building relevant capabilities & methodologies (e.g.: LEAN, Problem Solving), achieving global results and establishing a continuous improvement culture across the company;

  • Collaborate with senior management to align business excellence initiatives with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the organization

  • Identify and analyze existing business processes to understand their efficiency, effectiveness, and areas for improvement. Evaluate the potential for automation in order to streamline and optimize workflows. Define process requirements and/or process re-engineering opportunities and translate them to ICT requirements if necessary

  • Establish and create process maps to ensure consistent service delivery and client experience. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the performance of various business processes. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Establish and maintain the Business Process Architecture and Process Documentation in line with the Group and local standards

  • Coaching and supporting Senior Management to implement key Business Excellence methodologies and management routines and to establish a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Roll-out the Lean program implementation, providing support to project managers for selected Lean projects, assisting in the Definition, Measurement & Analysis stages of the DMAIC cycle. Champion the use of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools

  • Provide training to employees on business excellence principles and methodologies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

  • Identify improvement opportunities using new technologies (RPA, etc.)  and drive the analysis & implementation together with the business owners

  • Work closely with the Customer Experience Manager to align on VoC and VoB and the process improvements plan

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes and technologies. Address resistance to change and ensure smooth transitions. Implement change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions during organizational changes.

  • Ensure effective communication and teamwork within the department / area and between departments / areas. Apply situational leadership and ensure staff engagement.

  • Display a global mindset by liaising and aligning with Headquarters regarding Business Excellence and best practices.

  • Adhere to all local and global company policies and procedures.

  • Act as a Business Consultant to the Management Team and to the Process Owners by promoting Lean Thinking approach

Competencies:

Challenge the business in the identification of process improvement and ensure an adoption of Lean practices across the business to reduce variation within the processes and waste.

Education & experience:

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Experience in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of automation tools and technologies.
  • Proven work experience in process management or business process trans
  • formation and automation.

Languages:

  • English (Fluent, verbally and written)

IT Applications:

  • MS-Office incl. MS Project and PowerBI

  • Business process modelling and analysis tools (like Plant Simulator, Bisagi , ARIS, Visio)

  • JIRA, Confluence
