LeasePlan Corporation N.V. has introduced electronic signing through the Adobe Document Cloud e-sign service. In case we want to sign a contract or document electronically, LeasePlan will send you an e-mail through the Adobe Document Cloud e-sign service.
With the use of this service LeasePlan enables its customers, suppliers and business partners to electronically sign documents and/or contracts on their computer, tablet or smartphone. By e-signing we make it easier for you to complete and return these documents and/or contracts.
Adobe has over 35,000 customers using their technology to manage, send and complete their contract process by use of the Document Cloud service. These include many large and international organisations.
When you receive a request from LeasePlan Corporation for the signing of a contract it will include this technology, making it easier for you to complete and return the paperwork directly to LeasePlan Corporation.
If you have any questions about electronic signing or your contract, please contact your respective contact within LeasePlan Corporation. There is also an FAQ below and some help guides and documentation from Adobe Document Cloud explaining how the technology works.
Electronic signatures or e-signatures are a simple, secure and paperless method, whereby a customer or supplier can sign and return agreements and documents quickly and efficiently. LeasePlan Corporation uses a system called Adobe Document Cloud in which to deliver all e-signature documents.
Documents and agreements that require a signature will be emailed and electronically signed, rather than posted or emailed and then manually signed.
You will receive an email in your inbox providing you with a link to the document. The subject of the e-mail will be: “Please e-sign [contract / document name]”.
Adobe Document Cloud will guide you through the document and will inform you what is required at each step.
Please read the instructions that are given to you at the top and bottom of the screen. After reviewing the document, you can sign by clicking into the signature box and simply typing your name.
Adobe Document Cloud will direct you to complete all the mandatory fields so that no information is missed or left incomplete. To find the next section that needs completing, you can simply click the “next section” button that appears on the left of the page. Once all mandatory sections have been completed, the system will prompt you to accept the terms of electronic signing and the blue button to ‘e-sign’ will appear at the bottom of the document.
The document is secure and cannot be altered by anyone.
You will also receive a copy via email of the document you signed instantly after submitting to prevent any disputes.
E-signature is based around the acknowledgement of a document and not the signature itself. A document can be acknowledged in various ways such as tick boxes or by simply typing out your name. In this instance, we request that you type your name in the field provided, it does not matter that this auto-signature does not match your actual written signature.
The document is sent via email and is therefore the responsibility of the email account holder to ensure they are the only one with access. Only authorised signatories, as mentioned in the document or agreement, are allowed to sign off.
To assist our clients, LeasePlan Corporation only sends documents to the email addresses that have been supplied by the supplier or client themselves.
There is no requirement to have an Adobe Document Cloud account in order to sign documents
Adobe is SSAE 16 Type II SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI v3 and US-EU Safe Harbor certified
The signing of a document takes place over a secure connection which is auditable.
