AFLA member spotlight - LeasePlan USA providing services to Novartis
Angela Gregorowicz is featured in the latest edition of AFLA's member spotlight series.
How long have you worked in Fleet? 21 years.
How did you start your career in Fleet? I began my fleet journey with a promotion from the Accounts Payable Department. I was with Hoffmann-La Roche, and my first role in Fleet was a Senior Business Support Specialist. I was a liaison between the drivers and the leasing company assisting with new vehicle orders, registration & insurance inquiries, etc. Additionally, I supported the Safety Review Board by compiling data for our quarterly meetings. Shortly after receiving my bachelor's degree I was promoted to Fleet Manager. When that role moved out of state due to a merger, I accepted the opportunity to join LeasePlan USA, servicing Novartis. I've been in my current role approximately 6 years and it's been very exciting working with both LeasePlan and Novartis. Lots of interesting projects - especially the rollout of EVs.
What impact has AFLA had on your Fleet career? AFLA has provided the outlet to further my fleet education, develop educational programming and network with other fleet professionals. Thanks AFLA!
What advice do you have for individuals just starting in Fleet? Get involved in AFLA & NAFA. Both are great organizations for continuing education and networking. Use your network. Lots of great professionals that are willing to help who are just an email or call away. Lastly, be curious and be prepared for change. Especially today with the introduction of EVs & PHEVs. Exciting times but one needs to be flexible when rolling out new programs.
