ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process the weekly and monthly closing of the billing cycle; review & work weekly/monthly billing reports.
  • Communicate with the Management Team in identifying billing data discrepancies.
  • Work with vendor application processes and provide support. Maintain and updating vendor pricing files.
  • Reconciling and creating payments based on the National Account monthly statements.
  • Create, reviewing and completing vendor/client requests in a timely manner (Response Plan Tickets).
  • Ability to process billing for National Account, Independent, Accident Mgmt, Safety and misc billing; credit & rebills; research & reject invoices; answer & research vendor calls.
  • Ability to create and/or update authorizations in MIMS system.
  • Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

 OTHER DUTIES

  • Identify billing system/process inefficiencies to improve productivity; recommend, request the fix and/or enhancement to Management and/or IT; test & work with IT on fixes.
  • Schedule and lead functional area team meetings.
  • Assist the Management Team with special projects.
  • Assist manager in creating work schedules & coverage to ensure employees attend company meetings, activities, lunch & learns and town hall meetings.
  • Assist in Training/cross-training all associates within the FM Billing Operations on all facets of billing, suspends, vendor open, hold file, rejects, Response Plan requests, credit/rebill, and customer call resolution. Create & maintain procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of all the FM Billing Operations systems and job functions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in Rolling Meadows, IL and operates in a professional office environment.

POSITION TYPE/STANDARD SCHEDULE

This is a Full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a team lead or training position in Billing/Accounting. Must have strong customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) required.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and have strong communication (verbal, written) and problem solving skills. Must be able to adapt to change.
