When the new Mustang Mach-E hits the streets (expected at the end of 2020), it will mark the start of a new electric era for this classic American.
Power up
When it comes to power, the Mach-E honors the Mustang name. The 75.7 kWh battery is linked to a powerful 258 hp electric motor with 415 Nm of torque and a top speed of 180 km/h. The real range of the Mach-E SR RWD edition comes in at 450km on a full battery, but an upgrade to the Mach-E ER RWD edition gets you 90km more range.
Behind the wheel, there’s plenty of fun to be had; from adaptive cruise control with congestion assistance to a 15.5-inch touchscreen with integrated SYNC 4 infotainment system for all your audio and visual desires.
Room to spare
This midsize SUV was designed with space in mind. Passengers get ample head and leg room, a roomy front trunk as well as deep storage space in the doors and center console. Tech lovers will appreciate the USB-C ports and wireless charging mat.
But where it gets really exciting is with the hands-free driving system Ford is planning for the Mustang Mach-E. Ford claims that when it launches, on certain roads the car will pilot itself without the driver even touching the wheel.
