LeasePlan - our response

COVID-19 updates

Keep people safe and business moving

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global crisis, LeasePlan will act to protect the health and wellbeing of our people, while continuing to provide service to our customers.

With NZ moving from Alert Level 3 to Alert Level 2, we will have more freedom of movement, but we have ongoing obligations to maintain physical distancing and hygiene to help keep NZ safe.

Businesses can open if they can do so safely. This means keeping detailed contact registers, maintaining physical distance rules, restricting the number of people and time spent on premises.

As we adapt and evolve through these new circumstances, LeasePlan will keep you and your business moving.

Repairs and maintenance availability

Our supplier partners are adapting to provide the best possible services to you and your vehicles, within the guidelines of the COVID-19 Alert System.

LeasePlan’s repairs and maintenance network has quickly adjusted to the regulations, finding alternative methods to deliver service while maintaining hygiene measures, including physical distancing, hand washing, and regularly cleaning surfaces.

To arrange service or repairs for your vehicles:

• Find your nearest supplier here

• Call to make a booking and confirm their COVID-19 processes

• Don’t forget to let them know it’s a LeasePlan managed vehicle

Please remember there may be some initial booking delays and some restrictions or limitations in place. As always, call the LeasePlan team on 0800 LEASEPLAN (532 737), if you strike any difficulties.

Continuity of service

LeasePlan took the preventative step of moving our staff to work from home (WFH) arrangements on 16 March. We will continue with the WFH arrangements under Alert Level 2, and we continue to maintain a consistent level of service.

  • We have IT business continuity teams supporting our staff working from home
  • We have virtual meeting tools for customer-facing employees to maintain safe and productive working relationships.
  • There are no reported cases of COVID-19 within our teams.

Health and Safety

This 'work-from-home' change is in addition to other preventative measures we have taken to protect the health and wellbeing of our people. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily employee communications to keep our people safe, informed and prepared
  • Global and domestic airline travel ban for business purposes
  • Quarantine procedures invoked for any employee returning from an international location, presenting with symptoms, reporting contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
  • Suspension of office visits to or from clients and suppliers
  • Replacing face-to-face meetings with virtual meeting options
  • Ban on attendance at any public events / gatherings
  • A global well-being program focused on maintaining the physical and mental health of our people
