COVID-19 updates
Keep people safe and business moving
In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, LeasePlan is acting to protect the health and wellbeing of our people, while continuing to provide service to our customers.
When the Government introduces various restriction levels across the country, there will be impacts on you and your business, as well as our business and our suppliers' businesses.
LeasePlan will keep you moving as best we can as we navigate this global crisis.
Vehicle Services Updates
Here you can find out more about our vehicle services under different Alert Levels.
Fuels
LeasePlan fuel cards are all PIN enabled and can be used at all relevant outlets. Please follow the contactless protocols in place.
Most Mobil outlets provide the option of payment at the pump, thereby ensuring no person-to-person contact is required.
Tyres
All tyre outlets are open with contactless service provisions in place. Please contact the outlet to make a booking.
Glass
All glass suppliers are open with contactless service provisions in place. Please contact the provider in advance to make a booking.
Roadside Assistance
This service continues, with physical distancing and sanitising measures in place and priority given to essential service vehicles.
RUC
Our RUC service continues as normal. Labels will be purchased in advance for our predictive RUC customers.
Labels will be sent to the contact and address we have on record. Please let us know if this needs to be updated due to changes in contact or contact address.
Registration
Our registration service continues as normal. Labels will be sent to the contact and address we have on record. Please let us know if this needs to be updated due to changes in contact or contact address.
VTNZ incl. WOF / COF
All VTNZ outlets are open with contactless service provisions in place.
Accident Management Service
Our claims management support service continues as per normal.
Rentals
Only a limited number of rental car companies will be open. If you require a rental vehicle urgently, please call us on 0800 LEASEPLAN (0800 532 737).
Vehicle transport
Vehicle transport companies will be operating at reduced capacity, with contactless service provisions in place.
End of Lease
Turners will be following strict social distancing practices for your health and safety.
Turners car sites will be receiving vehicles, but the gates will be locked. Drivers to call the phone number displayed on the gate upon arrival.
Although appointments are not necessary for vehicle drop offs, please be aware that Turners have contactless protocols in place. Vehicle collection is still available. Please contact LeasePlan to arrange for your vehicle(s) to be picked up from your business address.
For vehicle drop-offs, you can find your nearest Turners branch here.
For all truck sites nationwide, an appointment is necessary for any drop offs.
Vehicle Suppliers
Vehicle dealerships will be closed, and new deliveries will be on hold until further notice.

Continuity of service
LeasePlan took the precautionary step of moving our staff to work from home (WFH) in March. Under this arrangement we proved we could maintain a consistent level of service.
We will be able to successfully manage a mix of work / home working conditions depending on the Alert Levels that apply.
We will be taking a measured, cautious approach to ensure we are operating safely, can operate effectively at home or at work, are adhering to guidelines as they apply to each location, and will provide strong continuity of service.
Health and Safety
Preventative measures we have taken to protect the health and wellbeing of our people include (but are not limited to):
- Regular employee communications to keep our people safe, informed and prepared
- Global airline travel ban for business purposes
- Quarantine procedures invoked for any employee returning from an international location, presenting with symptoms, reporting contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
- Restrictions on office visits to or from clients and suppliers
- Replacing face-to-face meetings with virtual meeting options where Alert Levels apply
