COVID-19 updates

Keep people safe and business moving

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, LeasePlan is acting to protect the health and wellbeing of our people, while continuing to provide service to our customers.

When the Government introduces various restriction levels across the country, there will be impacts on you and your business, as well as our business and our suppliers' businesses.

Servicing and repairs

Our supply partners are working hard to provide the best possible services to you and your vehicles, within the guidelines of the COVID-19 Alert System.

The capacity to provide service may vary with changing Alert Levels.

Under Alert Levels 1 (Prepare) and 2 (Reduce), you can engage our supplier partners for vehicle services as normal, but we recommend that you:

  • Call ahead to confirm availability of service.
  • Follow any advice from the supplier regarding their COVID Safe Plan (e.g. social distancing, sanitising, etc.)

If Alert Level 3 (Restrict) or 4 (Lockdown) applies, there will be greater restrictions on your access to vehicle services.

Continuity of service

LeasePlan took the precautionary step of moving our staff to work from home (WFH) in March 2020. Under this arrangement we proved we could maintain a consistent level of service. 

We will be able to successfully manage a mix of work / home working conditions depending on the Alert Levels that apply. 

We will be taking a measured, cautious approach to ensure we are operating safely, can operate effectively at home or at work, adhere to guidelines as they apply to each location, and provide strong continuity of service.

Health and Safety

Preventative measures we have taken to protect the health and wellbeing of our people include (but are not limited to):

  • Regular employee communications to keep our people safe, informed and prepared
  • Global airline travel ban for business purposes
  • Quarantine procedures invoked for any employee returning from an international location, presenting with symptoms, reporting contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
  • Restrictions on office visits to or from clients and suppliers
  • Replacing face-to-face meetings with virtual meeting options where Alert Levels apply
