COVID-19 updates

Keep people safe and business moving

As New Zealand emerges from the restrictions imposed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global crisis, LeasePlan will continue to act to protect the health and wellbeing of our people, while continuing to provide service to our customers.

Under Alert Level 1, New Zealanders now have more freedom of movement, but some of us may continue to work from home, and certain voluntary controls will remain in place to manage social distancing, contact tracing and other health and safety requirements.

As we adapt and evolve to these ‘new normal’ circumstances, LeasePlan will keep you and your business moving.

Repairs and maintenance availability

Our supplier partners have adapted their businesses and will continue to provide the best possible services to you and your vehicles.

LeasePlan’s repair and maintenance partners have found alternative methods to deliver service while maintaining necessary hygiene measures.

To arrange service or repairs for your vehicles:

  • Find your nearest supplier here
  • Call to make a booking
  • Take note of any specific COVID-19 hygiene processes in place
  • Remember to let them know it’s a LeasePlan managed vehicle

Vehicle Services Updates

Continuity of service

LeasePlan took the precautionary step of moving our staff to work from home (WFH) on 16 March. These arrangements will continue for now, and under this arrangement we have proven to be able to maintain a consistent level of service.

Our return to office planning is underway to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our staff, suppliers and customers, and that we are prepared for any possible change in circumstances.

We will be taking a measured, cautious approach to ensure we are operating safely, and providing strong continuity of service.

Health and Safety

This 'work-from-home' change is in addition to other preventative measures we will maintain to protect the health and wellbeing of our people. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily employee communications to keep our people safe, informed and prepared
  • A ban on international air travel for business purposes
  • Adoption and use of the Government sponsored COVID-19 Contact Tracing App wherever possible when visiting third party premises
  • Quarantine procedures invoked for any employee returning from an international location, presenting with symptoms, reporting contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
  • Where possible and practical, convening digital meetings instead of face-to-face contact with third parties
