Summary of responsibilities

  • Participate in preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis of key variances against prior periods
  • Take ownership of accounting for specified areas of the income statement and balance sheet, including posting monthly journals
  • Develop and maintain clear management information to facilitate robust understanding of trends 
  • Ensure accounting and monthly reporting for areas of responsibility is completed in accordance with group instruction and applicable deadlines
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations as a key control to ensure accuracy of monthly reporting
  • Support with the external audit and ad hoc project work as required

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Finance role
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, asking for support or input from line manager and colleagues wherever required
  • Experience in communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • Appetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledge
  • Develops others by sharing own experience and expertise

  • Hybrid (minimum 2 days a week in the office)
