Main mission:
In the Strategy team of Ayvens, the mission of the Strategy Manager consists, under the management of the Chief Strategy Officer, for the CEO and the General Management of Ayvens, of the following areas:
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the Group, the preparation of the Strategic Plan, and its articulation with the Financial Plan, its implementation and monitoring throughout the Group, with central functions and local entities, and yearly reviews of the Strategic Plan and subsequent updates
- Contribute to the strategic governance and agenda of the Board (strategic seminars, strategic committee of the Board, ad hoc strategic discussions, etc.) and the preparation of the relevant documents requested by the Board and by Société Générale
- Steer corporate development and M&A transactions, with a capital dimension (acquisitions, partnerships, minority investments, divestments, etc.), from origination to execution and integration - in close coordination with Société Générale Strategy department (DGLE/STR)
- Conduct, or contribute to, ad hoc projects with an impact on the strategy of the Group or its business model, and which can involve external counterparties, like strategic partnerships, transformation or complex transversal projects
- Monitor and analyze the evolution of the competitive landscape of the mobility industry (mega-trends, technology, competitors, business models, etc.) and its implications on the strategy of Ayvens
Competences required for the position:
Behavioral competences: given the specificities of the Strategy function (diversity of areas, strong technical and financial topics, high exposure with General Management and external counterparts, ...), a wide spectrum of skills is required:
- Ability to manage high-level stakeholders: analysis and synthesis capacity, reactivity, rigor
- Ability to cope with strong pressure and exert judgement
- Ability to drive internal stakeholders (support functions, commercial functions and local entities) and external stakeholders (consultants, investment bankers, lawyers, ...)
- Ability to integrate risk and compliance constraints and framework
- Team spirit and ability to manage a team with strong responsibility and exemplarity
Technical competences: given the specificities of the Strategy function (diversity of areas, strong technical and financial topics, high exposure with General Management and external counterparts, ...), a wide spectrum of skills is required:
- Economic, financial and regulated competences to handle strategic issues of Ayvens as a regulated business, part of Société Générale Group
- Business and technological competences to capture the evolution of the automotive and mobility industry, and integrate innovation stakes in the strategic thinking
- Financial and legal competences to manage projects and the external stakeholders or advisors
