We are looking for an individual with working knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT to join the Ayvens UK tax function. This role offers the chance to work closely with the finance team and engage with the wider business, delivering a range of tax compliance and ad hoc advisory services across UK taxes. The ideal candidate would be team orientated and able to develop positive and supportive relationships with colleagues.
This role is based in our Bristol office with the flexibility to work at home up to 3 days per week.
Annual salary for this role is up to £45,000 per annum dependant on experience.
Principal Responsibilities
Day to Day
Prepare the annual Corporation Tax and VAT returns
Complete monthly group reporting for Tax
Calculate statutory tax accruals and prepare disclosure notes for UK financial statements
Critically review existing tax processes, adopting a continuous improvement mindset
Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasting and assist in preparation of tax forecasts and budgets
Collaborate with finance, legal, treasury, and risk teams to ensure tax is embedded in business decision-making
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors e.g. managing tax audits, assisting the wider business on tax advisory matters
Support the Group Tax Manager on key tax projects such as SAO and transfer pricing
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Proven track record of tax compliance and tax accounting preferably with experience in industry
Strong working knowledge of UK tax (mainly Corporation Tax and VAT)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable advice for non-specialists
Comfortable both working autonomously and collaborating effectively as needed
Accountancy or Tax qualification desirable but not essential
Experience using accounting/tax software packages such as SAP, SAS, Power BI, OneSource would be a plus.
