We are looking for a Senior Category Manager Procurement who can join us.

This is an Hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Bristol office as required and flexibility to work from home.

Key Purpose

  • Develop and deliver cross functional category strategies to improve the 

  • LeasePlan commercial proposition and deliver maximum value and best practice

  • supply in line with corporate key objectives.

  • Ensure full compliance to all regulatory standards and corporate policies.

  • Test wider markets to identify and deliver innovation to increase Ayvens USP and operational efficiency.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Deliver Category Management of a diverse and complex category, includingmarket research, sourcing, contracting, and implementation required to deliver best-practice Category Management.

  • Responsibility for market-leading commercial terms & contracts.

  • Work with Ayvens Corporate and other territories to increase supplier leverage and develop best practice.

  • Ensure, through sound knowledge, effective use of the existing Procurement Policy and guide and educate internal customers in complying with it.

  • Working with the Ayvens legal team to ensure Ayvens is, at all times, protected by suitable contractual arrangements and all risks are managed appropriately.

  •  Act as an ambassador for Ayvens at all levels, within the supplier base and wider industry.

  • Undertake such other procurement duties as directed by the General Manager from time to time

Skills, Experience & Background 

  • Extensive procurement experience (ideally 7+ years); any of leasing, financial services or a technical/engineering industry experience would be an advantage.

  • Experience of procuring products and services using industry leading Procurement best-practice using up to date e-Procurement tools.

  • Ability to manage a supply base and supplier personnel up to C-suite Level

  • Be able to demonstrate a proven track record in cost analysis and delivery of real cost reductions.

  • Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Confident communicator and relationship builder

  • High achievement drive with a proven ability to deliver results.

  • Proven ability to manage and follow procedures, recognise dependencies, whilst mitigating risks.

  • Experience of managing a number of different projects/negotiations concurrently and to work at pace to deliver.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a natural ability to recognise effective deals.

  • Customer focused – ability to deliver the quality required by the organisation whilst delivering the best cost

  • Strategic vision – can see beyond the price

  • High level of integrity and commitment to corporate values

  • Change management experience & ability to deliver change and the benefit this can bring
