About the team and the challenge

LeasePlan is an international company with over 8.500 employees and has a presence in approx. 26 countries. LeasePlan has a banking license and is qualified as a Significant Institution, hence we fall under the supervision of the European Central Bank.

One of LeasePlan’s sources of funding is through securitisation of future receivables. As Securitisation Controller you will report to the Manager Securitisation Operations and you will be responsible for day to day management of all aspects of existing, live (Bumper) securitisation transactions, thus contributing to maintaining this important source of funding.

Your responsibilities and growth path:

• The Securitisation Controller is jointly responsible for the continuity of live securitisation transactions of LeasePlan (currently ~ EUR 2bn externally placed notes) . As such, the Securitisation Controller will safeguard accurate and complete (monthly) reporting to external stakeholders such as investors, rating agencies and regulators, including ensuring compliance with STS and ESMA reporting requirements;
• The Securitisation Controller will prepare periodical reporting to various internal stakeholders in relation to LeasePlan’s securitisation transactions;
• The Securitisation Controller will maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders and ensure all relevant payments of interest and expenses are processed timely, accurately and complete and are reflected accordingly in LeasePlan’s treasury systems (e.g. Quantum);
• Furthermore, the Securitisation Controller is expected to assist with the set-up of new transactions as well as the restructuring (if any) and unwinding of existing transactions and may be asked to participate in other projects related to strategic finance/ securitisation;
• To conclude, the Securitisation Controller is expected to engage in discussions within the team to further optimize and automate the reporting (review) processes;
• With a proven track record on the above aspects of the role there are various opportunities to develop within the team or in other departments / entities of LeasePlan.

To succeed in this role, you have the following skills and experience:

LeasePlan is open to receive applicants with a wide range of study backgrounds, yet with a preference for candidates with an economical or beta background.

You are concise and you have the ability to independently and constructively communicate with colleagues from various LeasePlan Corporation (holding) departments (e.g. Control, Reporting and Tax, Risk Management, Legal, Treasury, Strategic Finance) and with directors and team members of the larger LeasePlan subsidiaries which are part of the Bumper securitisation framework. The candidate we are looking for has:

• Higher education degree (bachelor / master) working and thinking capabilities;
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in (structured) finance, treasury, banking, accounting or audit, preferably in an international environment;
• Excellent planning, risk awareness and analytical skills with attention to detail and procedures;
• Strong Excel skills, whilst having existing knowledge of and experience with PowerBI is a pre;
• The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with external stakeholders and all levels of LeasePlan’s management and staff to achieve results;
• The ability to understand (complex) processes and structures, with an eye for detail yet is also able to maintain a helicopter view;
• Fluency in English - both spoken and written. Any additional languages would be a plus.
