You are responsible for:

For our International Operational Fleet Management vacancy we are looking for a new colleague at our Amsterdam based office. The International Operational Fleet Manager will be responsible for delivering the required 95% fleet availability in the LeasePlan countries where we have launched a business critical fleet program with a large international client  (current scope: US, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France).

You will be interacting with the local operational managers of the in-scope countries on a daily basis, and will be liaising with the central client contact concerning their international fleet performance and availability. Identifying and further developing the client specific operational processes to ensure 95% fleet availability are part of your responsibilities. In addition, you will manage the customer’s Digital & Reporting requirements, leading to continuous improved fleet reporting capabilities via LeasePlan’s online fleet portal. Cooperation with LeasePlan Digital’s customer journey teams will be essential.

In your role will you need to ensure best practice sharing across the different markets in scope. Strong collaboration with other key members within the central International team is needed and is key to improve the overall performance of the fleet program.

The projected fleet size that you will be managing is expected to increase to more than 20.000 vehicles. This is a dedicated international operational fleet management role for one of our largest international clients.                 

• Manage and supervising client’s 95% fleet availability requirement in terms of maintenance, off road and accident management, as well as supporting to provide alternative solutions (short and long term rental solutions).
• Analysing local fleet availability, providing and ensuring proper implementation of non-availability remedies.
• Coordination of local operational management activities following daily interactions with client’s fleet operations managers and country fleet managers.
• Coordinate, and where required, manage escalations with global and local suppliers, in relation to fleet being not operational.
• Gathering and advising on customer reporting requirements regarding vehicle life cycle (pre-deployment / in-life / vehicle off road)
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure key data is shared to support digital reporting requirements
• Support supplier data analysis and steer continuous improvement initiatives as a result within area of expertise.

• Aligning and ensuring collaboration on the international client requirements across the organisation, e.g. RMT, Digital and Finance.
• Cooperate with different disciplines (local and central) across the LeasePlan organisation to ensure 95% Fleet Availability, including reporting requirements (ie. SLA development and implementation).
• Support country organizations in managing local fleet management activities, including training, governance, TCO optimization and local legislation (e.g. fleet subsidies programs).
   

To succeed in this role, you have the following skills and experience:

The ideal candidate is able to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders across countries to receive required input and to further optimize the fleet program together with the local teams and other disciplines within the program. She/he has strong communication skills, pro-active and problem solving mindset.

• Minimum Bachelor degree, preferably with an additional Master degree.
• Ability to quick build relationships, gain credibility and work successfully in accordance with LeasePlan values.
• Ability to have a helicopter view and make balanced and impartial judgements on priorities.
• Minimum 7-10 years relevant working experience in a similar role, preferably within an international environment. English (fluent, verbally and written) an additional EU language(s) are a plus.
