Break-ins and theft

For theft or damage due to break in, here is what you need to do:

  1. Lodge an FIR

    Lodge an FIR at the nearest Police Station, giving details of car registration, chassis number and engine number

  2. Inform LeasePlan

    Inform LeasePlan of the theft within 24 hours via phone (1860 500 5050 or 1860 419 5050) or email
    (customercare@leaseplan.co.in).

  3. Send a copy of the FIR and an authorised signatory's letter to LeasePlan

    Send a copy of the FIR to LeasePlan, along with a letter from the authorised signatory of your company to us to follow up with the insurance company.

  4. Keep keys and official papers at hand

    Keep the set of original keys of the vehicle, Registration Certificate and Insurance Policy to hand over to the Insurance company.

  5. Report missing documents

    In case original Registration Certificate and Insurance Policy have been lost with the stolen vehicle, please ensure that the loss of these is also reported in the FIR.

  6. Keep LeasePlan updated

    Please inform LeasePlan immediately, in case the vehicle is later recovered.
