Volunteer reforestation for LeasePlan Hellas & Sanofi

March 31, 2018

LeasePlan Hellas, the leading provider of corporate fleet leasing and management in Greece, and Sanofi, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, once again realized a well-established tree planting in the area the Ymittos Aesthetic Forest,. The tree planting was carried out in collaboration with the Athens Philosophical Association, in a region that was significantly affected by the fires in the summer of 2007.

100 volunteers participated

100 employees of LeasePlan Hellas and Sanofi renewed their established appointment in the Hymettus Estuary Forest and, with the help and support of their families, planted 150 new trees and cared for those that had been planted in a previous afforestation.

For more than 10 years, LeasePlan has made a significant contribution to the restoration of the Hymettus Aesthetic Forest, through organized tree planting, aiming to re-live an important green lung in Attica.

Mr. Philippos Zagorianakos, Chief Executive Officer of LeasePlan Hellas, said: "We are very happy and proud that for another year we managed to gather the interest of our human resources and put it into action. We are always willing to participate in similar actions, recognizing and assuming our responsibility to the environment, to society and to humanity. "

"Because life is a journey of health and the environment we live in has a direct impact on our health, we try to reduce our environmental impact and at the same time support actions for ecological balance. For the third consecutive year, colleagues from Sanofi Greece participated in the reforestation action in the LeasePlan Aesthetic Forest," said Christina Veopoulou, Communications Manager of Sanofi Greece.
