“Driver Protection” Policy

The “Driver Protection” insurance policy is offered through the Fleet Management services provided by LeasePlan Hellas to its Clients by the Insurance Company “LeasePlan Insurance” of the LeasePlan Corporation N.V Group.

Policy Activation

The policy is activated when a fleet vehicle which has been incorporated in the policy is involved in a motor accident, in which the beneficiaries of the policy were injured or lost their life.

Note: A motor accident is an accident caused by collision, impact, swerving, overturning or fall of the vehicle.

The Policy is addressed to the following persons

The person(s) declared to LeasePlan Hellas as the Driver(s) of the vehicle and the spouse(s) of such Driver(s). The coverage applies to the person who drove the vehicle when the accident occurred on condition that the fleet vehicle is included in the policy.

Notes: driver means the person who drives the fleet vehicle, is between 18-70 years old, has a valid driving license and has been declared to LeasePlan Hellas. The driver’s spouse must be between 18-70 years old.

Beneficiaries of Policy Benefits

The Driver, his/her spouse and their legal heirs.

Benefits

€20,000 in case of Driver’s and his/her spouse’s Loss of Life
If the protected persons (Driver - spouse) lose their life in a motor accident, the amount of €20,000 shall be immediately paid to their legal heirs.
If the protected persons (Driver - spouse) become totally and permanently disabled and/or incapacitated, as defined below, they shall be paid immediately the amount of €20,000.

€20.000 in case of partial disability caused to the Driver and his/her spouse.

If the protected persons (Driver - spouse) become partially and permanently disabled and/or incapacitated, they shall be immediately paid 50% of the benefit depending on the severity of the injury, as set out in the following table:

€800 for medical expenses in the event of injury.

If the protected persons (Driver - spouse) use services provided by doctors (surgeons, anesthesiologists, physiotherapists etc) or are admitted to the hospital and undergo diagnostic or laboratory examinations or obtain medication, prosthetic aids etc due to an injury caused by a motor accident, they shall be paid an amount up to €800 for all the above.

Combination with other social security/insurance policies

The amounts of the policy benefits which are to be paid shall not be reduced due to the participation of the protected members in any public or private social security/insurance organizations or schemes.

Countries

Greece and abroad.

Events where the policy is not activated

The policy shall not be activated:

In the event where the driver is intoxicated
In the event where the Driver does not hold a valid driving license
In the event where the vehicle has been used for purposes different than those contained in his/her driving license
In the event where the accident is due to any terrorist act
In the event where the vehicle is used in speed- racing games, trial routes (trainings) as well as shows
In the event where the accident is caused by cargo carried by the insured vehicle.

Actions taken after the accident

The following actions must be taken after the accident:

LeasePlan Hellas must be informed of the accident and the injury suffered by the protected persons (Driver - spouse) by calling Driver’s Help Line [00302106100050](targetSelf:tel:+30 210 6100050) within 8 days from the date of the accident.
A Motor Accident Declaration must be filled in and sent (if the Accident Care has not been summoned).

Documents

The beneficiaries will be informed by the accident management team of LeasePlan Hellas about the documents they need in order to receive the payments.
