Yes, they can drive the vehicle within Spain and within the countries set out in the Green Card for travel abroad. They would be covered by the insurance.

Arrow downCan I authorise another person as the habitual driver of the vehicle?

The company’s fleet manager must send us an email to atencioncliente@leaseplan.es, specifying the registration plate, name, surname and national ID document number of the driver. We will then issue a document that confirms that LeasePlan has authorised the new driver to drive the vehicle.

Arrow downWhat do I need from LeasePlan if I go abroad?

To travel abroad you must carry with you the originals of the technical sheet and the vehicle registration document, as well as the Insurance Document, as the reverse side of saiddocument sets out the green card countries where you are allowed to drive the vehicle.

You also need to contact us so that we can send you the corresponding authorisation to be ableto travel abroad.

The policies are annual policies and renewable on a yearly basis and the expiry dates depend upon the date of issue. If you want to know the expiry date of the insurance of your vehicle, please provide us with the registration plate in order to provide you with the detailed information.

It is not compulsory to carry with you if you drive within Spain, but we recommend that you keepit in the vehicle in case the State Security Forces request it and if they are unable to check it in their computer systems.
