LCV fleet optimization or van fleet optimization is the overall term for how you optimize your company's van fleet. This includes operational optimization, which deals with specific points in the operation of the van fleet. Among these, you can look at, among other things, the size of the fleet, interior design and construction of the van, choice of equipment variant, length of leasing period, etc.

At LeasePlan, we are skilled in advising on the optimization of van fleets and the administration of van fleets. We advise and provide sparring on everything related to leasing of vans, including fuel and electricity, legal requirements, needs regarding the layout and construction of adapted vans, replacement plans and other fleet needs. Below you can read more about how you can optimize the van fleet and how you can drive well.

How can LeasePlan help you with optimizing your van fleet?

LeasePlan is the world's leading leasing company with more than 1.8 million vehicles in 29 countries. We manage the full life cycle of our cars and are responsible for everything from purchase and maintenance to sale of former leasing cars. With over 55 years of experience, we are a reliable partner for both large and small companies as well as private customers.

Rightsizing, size of fleet and van

Rightsizing, size of fleet and van

Rightsizing can be the first step towards fleet optimization. Rightsizing is understood in two ways: a regulation of one's total van fleet and the physical adaptation of the size of the van. Should you have four small or two large vans? The answer depends on how much equipment you have, and how much you have to drive around with. The answer also gives you an indication of the size of the van.

If the equipment can be assembled in two large vans instead of four small vans, this is fleet reduction. If you drive large vans, but cannot fill the space (you drive with "air" in the van), reducing the size of the van is an option.

Layout and foliation

Layout and foliation

Vans can be fitted out to suit your needs and industry. We "tailor" the interior for the purpose that is optimal for you, it is only the imagination that sets the limits. This also applies to your company's logo. Where should the logo be and what size? LeasePlan works with nationwide suppliers of customized vans.

Equipment variant and length of leasing period

Once you have decided on the size of the van, as well as how the interior and logo should be, you can optimize the equipment variant and the length of the leasing period. LeasePlan offers many brands and models of vans, and choosing the correct equipment variant can have an effect on the length of the leasing period, but also your finances.

Theft and insurance

Theft and insurance

Your vans have high-value equipment in them. You must be insured if there is an accident, have been subject to theft, or the car has been damaged. Visible preventive security of the trunk is an important part of operational optimization.

Fuel or EV?

Fuel or EV?

Are you focused on sustainability and the green transition? At LeasePlan, we have vans that run on both fuel and electricity. The electric vans have many advantages, and as the infrastructure improves, the electric van will be preferable. The electric van meets our customers' needs, and we can already see more vans that run on electricity on Danish roads.

Turnkey van

What does it mean to have a turnkey van? If you have been delivered a van that meets your specific wishes for the interior/structure of the van, including the size of the car, choice of equipment variant, length of leasing period, etc., you have a turnkey van. In other words, you can put the key in the van and use it from day one.
