"Our sector is developing faster than ever. Sustainable and innovative fleet solutions are gaining ground while people and companies are starting to rethink mobility. Our fleet managers help our customers to advance their approach to mobility, and we need a strong team to do this. Thijs Meijling, Paolo Cova and Bernd Bäzner are bringing their expertise and experience to our management team and I am very much looking forward to working with them," said LeasePlan Switzerland Managing Director Nigel Storny.

Thijs Meijling (47) - Country Manager LeasePlan (Switzerland) Ltd since April 2018

An experienced consultant, Meijling has been working as Transformation Director at LeasePlan Corporation NV in Amsterdam since the summer of 2017. Before that, he worked for Boston Consulting Group for eight years. He has been General Manager for the Switzerland region since April 2018. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, skiing and ski touring, so Zurich is the ideal base for him.

Paolo Cova (47) - Member of the Executive Board and Operations Director in Austria and Switzerland

Hailing from Italy, Cova can draw on a wealth of experience in the areas of procurement and operations. He has spent the last twelve years in senior positions at LeasePlan, most recently as Transformation Director Operations and previously as Head of Supply Services. Since April 2018, Cova has been Operations Director at LeasePlan Austria and Switzerland and a member of the Executive Board. "Operations drives innovation within our company, so it is an important part of our business. I am looking forward to fresh challenges in a fast-moving market," said Cova.

Bernd Bäzner (43) - Member of the Executive Board and new Commercial Director at LeasePlan (Switzerland) AG

An automotive expert, Bäzner spent the last three years with Tesla Financial Services, where he was responsible for the commercial division for Germany and England. Before that, he was an advisor on the automotive sector at Ernst & Young for many years. In his current position as Commercial Director, he is responsible for sales and marketing at LeasePlan Switzerland.
