Electric vehicles have found much more traction throughout the surveyed countries in the past three years. On average, more than 60% of interviewees have a positive opinion about e-mobility. It is also interesting to note that the volume of combustion vehicles has remained virtually unchanged. In other words, e-mobility is being positioned as an additional format alongside petrol and diesel – it is not replacing them. With attitudes towards e-mobility having changed, it stands to reason that buyers are much more interested in electric vehicles: one in three now want to buy or lease an electric car. Aside from increased awareness of the need for sustainability among the public at large, buyers are primarily drawn to electric drives due to the low operating costs and good environmental footprint.
