Arrow downWhat is a credit check?

When you place an order with us, the first thing we do is carry out a credit check to make sure that you won't have any problems paying the agreed monthly amount. LeasePlan uses an independent credit agency to carry out its credit checks. They will take a look at your credit activity over the past few years. We may request additional documents at a later date for start-ups.

Our Private Lease cars are preconfigured, so all options have already been selected for you. Yes, you can. Bear in mind that your contract (and the monthly amount due) will then be modified as well.

Arrow downCan LeasePlan still refuse to order my Private Lease car, even if received an approval and a unilaterally signed contract?

Yes, that is possible. This means that the information you have provided us online does not reflect your real financial situation based on the supporting documents. These supporting documents are the base for us to decide whether or not to continue with the lease contract. LeasePlan will always first inform you by telephone and then in writing.

Yes, there is a legal reconsideration period of 14 days. This starts on the receipt date of your signed Lease contract.

Arrow downCan I lease if there is a wage bill, I am in debt mediation or if my income is settled through a lawyer?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. If you do submit an application and we subsequently see that you are in such a situation based on your financial documents, then the lease contract will be canceled.

Naturally, we hope that this does not happen to you. But if you think that you will no longer be able to pay your monthly lease payment due to the loss of your job, it would be a good idea to contact LeasePlan Driver Services at +32 78 150 600. We will then discuss the possibilities of adapting or ending the (term of the) agreement. We do ask you to provide proof of this.

Arrow downWhat happens in the event of death of the person who signed the lease contract?

This is not a nice question, but it is an important one.

It is important that the relatives report this to LeasePlan Driver Services by calling +32 78 150 600. We can then discuss together what the wishes and expectations are.

Your relatives will still need to keep the remaining agreements that “were made with us”, such as the payment of outstanding leasing rates and other costs, and the return of the vehicle in accordance with the agreements.
